The General Mayor of the Capital, Ciprian Ciucu, stated that the old majority in the General Council is no longer functioning, accusing the PSD of blocking the Mayor's projects, despite being part of the governing coalition. In the show "In Your Face", he mentioned that he is trying to form a new majority without PSD and PUSL, but it would be fragile: "The majority would be very, very fragile and that is why I am very worried. You realize that in this context, USR also wants to make its presence felt." Ciucu explained that, contrary to expectations, PSD reacted aggressively to his reform proposals, including the closure of institutions with few employees, which consume the budget without bringing benefits. The mayor emphasized the need for administrative reform in PMB, mentioning that he has met with only some of the directors of the subordinate institutions. He also highlighted the financial losses of Bucharest, which have reached almost 4 billion lei due to government measures, severely affecting the Mayor's ability to pay. Ciucu called for urgent discussions with the Government to resolve financial issues, emphasizing that PMB is entirely dependent on government funds.
