The government has released 22 prefects and 36 deputy prefects from their positions, appointing 21 prefects and 6 deputy prefects in their place.

The government adopted decisions on Wednesday for the dismissal of 22 prefects and 36 deputy prefects, following their resignations. The spokesperson of the Executive, Ioana Dogioiu (photo), announced during a press conference that 21 prefects and 6 deputy prefects have been appointed to replace those who resigned.

In turn, the president of the PSD, Sorin Grindeanu, requested the resignation of the secretaries of state and prefects proposed by the social democrats, after they withdrew their political support from Prime Minister Bolojan and initiated a motion of censure alongside AUR.
