Bogdan Ivan, the Minister of Energy, stated that Romania has its natural gas storage filled to 98%, thus ensuring the stability of supply for this winter. He emphasized that there will be no increase in natural gas prices due to the price cap in effect until March 31, 2026. The Minister explained that proactive measures have been taken since summer, with constant meetings with market operators to purchase gas at lower prices. Compared to the European Union average, which has its storage filled to 80%, Romania is in a favorable position. Ivan assured that, in collaboration with Romgaz, resources are being maximized to guarantee sufficient gas for both industry and household consumers. He reaffirmed that Romania will get through this winter successfully.
