Alexandru Nazare, the Minister of Finance of Romania, had a meeting with Kyriakos Pierrakakis, his counterpart from Greece, during the P-TEC forum in Athens, dedicated to economic cooperation between Europe and the USA. The discussions focused on strengthening economic relations, particularly in the fields of energy, infrastructure, and investments. A central topic was the Vertical Natural Gas Transport Corridor, essential for regional energy security. Nazare thanked Greece for its support in Romania's accession to Schengen and the OECD, emphasizing a relationship based on trust and common goals. Initiatives for the development of the Single Capital Market and public-private partnerships for co-financing projects were also discussed. Nazare proposed organizing a similar event in Bucharest to continue the dialogue on these topics.
