The interim Minister of Finance, Alexandru Nazare, emphasized that Romania cannot afford legislative initiatives with additional budgetary impact during extraordinary parliamentary sessions. In a Facebook post, he highlighted the importance of rigorous evaluation of each legislative proposal and the sources of funding. Nazare mentioned that the country’s rating remains a priority and called for responsibility in political negotiations.

He discussed a temporary intervention in the fuel market, which includes a dynamic excise tax, and mentioned that over 24 amendments have been adopted to adapt the mechanism to current conditions. He also emphasized the need to find solutions for urgent problems without creating financial vulnerabilities. Nazare warned that the pressure of the moment cannot replace impact analysis and that the state's resources are limited, with each new expenditure needing to be carefully analyzed. He reminded that Romania is under evaluation by rating agencies, which maintain a negative outlook on the sovereign rating, highlighting the importance of maintaining economic balance.
