Member of the European Parliament Rareș Bogdan stated that there was no 'massacre' in the meeting at Vila Lac, but he acknowledged that he asked Ilie Bolojan not to request reconfirmation votes monthly, arguing that this does not help the party. Bogdan emphasized that Bolojan, elected with an overwhelming majority, remains an important electoral asset for PNL, having a confidence level of 6-7% above the party's score.
Although there are tensions related to the economic vision, Rareș Bogdan insisted that Bolojan needs to change his style and approach, not to be replaced. Criticizing the tax increase policy, Bogdan urged the Prime Minister to focus on attracting investments and exploiting natural resources to improve the budget, mentioning the dissatisfaction of pensioners and the closure of 55,000 companies.
