Lia Olguța Vasilescu, the mayor of Craiova, stated that the PSD maintains open options regarding the future Executive, but categorically rejects supporting a minority government. She emphasized that the party is waiting for the developments of the political negotiations, mentioning that Ilie Bolojan cannot be appointed as prime minister for constitutional reasons. Vasilescu insisted on the need for a government that works in the interest of citizens, without favoring certain groups. In this context, she criticized previous approaches that excluded vulnerable categories. She also mentioned that the PSD will not intervene in the internal decisions of other parties, referring to USR and their possible closeness to Ilie Bolojan. Vasilescu adopted a moderate tone, avoiding attacks on former coalition partners, and left the negotiation options open for the future. She concluded that decisions will be made after the political consultations at Cotroceni.
