Daniel Zamfir, the leader of the PSD senators, reacted to the appointment of Adrian Veștea as prime minister, stating that the social democrats are willing to discuss collaboration with PNL to maintain a pro-European coalition.
Zamfir emphasized that PSD does not accept a continuation of the government with Ilie Bolojan, whom he considers responsible for the economic disaster in Romania. He mentioned that he is set to have a discussion with Veștea, who could propose PSD's entry into the government.
When asked about the possibility of collaboration with PNL and USR, Zamfir responded affirmatively, expressing the desire to continue the governing formula, but without Bolojan.
Adrian Veștea, the president of Brașov County Council and first vice president of PNL, was appointed prime minister after the resignation of Eugen Tomac.
