Alexandru Muraru, vice president of PNL and head of PNL Iași, stated on Wednesday that the PSD's attempt to provoke a coup within the PNL has failed, emphasizing that the governmental crisis generated by the social democrats is their problem. Muraru sent a clear message to the PSD, suggesting they seek governing partners in AUR, highlighting the risks associated with extremists. He emphasized that PNL remains dedicated to reforms and will not accept becoming a "trailer" for those who wish to keep Romania in stagnation.

In the context of the dismissal of the government led by Ilie Bolojan, following the censure motion submitted by PSD and AUR, Muraru reaffirmed that PNL will not change its position and will continue to support the same reform program. He criticized PSD for breaking the coalition, questioning the reasons for a new negotiation, considering that PNL will not abandon its principles.
