PNL distances itself from PSD: "Do not ask us to save the social democrats"

Alexandru Muraru, the leader of PNL Iași, sent a clear message to President Nicușor Dan before the consultations on Monday, emphasizing that PNL will not save PSD. Muraru stated that Romanians are not interested in the future of PSD, as shown by the latest polls, and stressed that PNL is definitively broken from the social democrats, regardless of the court's decisions.

He criticized the idea of collaborating with PSD in the fight against extremism, considering that AUR, born from PSD, has surpassed the party in cynicism and populism. Muraru called for a realistic view of the polls and emphasized that Romania needs political clarity, not artificial alliances. He stated that political decisions must be in the interest of the country and respect the votes of the citizens.
