The First Vice President of PNL, Ciprian Ciucu, stated that his party is not responsible for the current political crisis, which has led to the formation of an interim government without full powers. He considers Sorin Grindeanu, the president of PSD, to be the "artisan of the coup" that led to the dismissal of the Bolojan government through a motion of censure, voted by 281 parliamentarians. Ciucu emphasized that the solution to this crisis must come from President Nicușor Dan and Grindeanu, suggesting that the two should meet to discuss the formation of a new government. He appreciated Nicușor Dan's role as a mediator, considering it essential for resolving the situation. PNL reaffirms its position that it has not contributed to the current governmental instability.
"We do not have calculations. We did not bring the country to a situation where it is not governed by a government with full powers. The two of them need to meet, first of all, to give Mr. Nicușor Dan the opportunity to Sorin Grindeanu to form the government. The two are the main actors at this moment. Nicușor Dan is the President of Romania, and he mediates very well; it is excellent that he does this," said Ciprian Ciucu on Sunday evening, at Digi 24.
