Crin Antonescu considers Nicușor Dan responsible for the political crisis: “Romania has an unfit, incapable president, or has no president”

Crin Antonescu harshly criticizes President Nicușor Dan, whom he considers primarily responsible for the political deadlock in Romania. The former presidential candidate claims that five months have passed since the Bolojan Government fell without the head of state proposing a candidate for the position of prime minister.

Antonescu says that the problem must be sought at Cotroceni and accuses the president of being “unfit” or “incapable” of exercising his office. He maintains that the lack of a nomination for the post of prime minister can no longer be justified and that the president had an obligation to take this step.

The former candidate specifies that the assessment is not motivated by the fact that he was Nicușor Dan’s opponent and says that he does not consider him responsible for the votes of those who elected him. Instead, Antonescu criticizes former voters who now say they regret the choice they made in the election.

He maintains that they should have more carefully analyzed Nicușor Dan’s administrative and political experience before the vote. Antonescu also refers to the period when he was mayor of the Capital and to delays in signing certain documents, considering that such elements were publicly known.
