PSD accuses PNL of blocking the extension of protection measures on the fuel market

Bogdan Ivan, former PSD Minister of Energy, accused PNL parliamentarians of blocking the extension of protective measures in the fuel market, which will lead to an increase in the price of gasoline and diesel. Ivan stated on Facebook that PNL refused to convene the meeting of the Budget, Finance and Banks Committee, necessary for the adoption of the regulatory act that would have extended the protection period until November 30, 2026.

He mentioned that he obtained favorable opinions from other committees, but PNL's decision led to the cessation of measures to limit the commercial markup. Ivan emphasized that, as a result of this decision, the bill will be borne by Romanians who refuel. He also submitted an amendment to extend the reduction of 36 bani per liter on standard diesel, a measure that is set to expire on June 30.
