Siegfried Mureșan, the PNL-USR-UDMR proposal for the position of prime minister, recently criticized Sorin Grindeanu's changing positions, who, after two months of hesitation, now expresses his desire to become prime minister. Mureșan emphasized that PNL will not support this candidacy, accusing PSD of a drastic drop in popularity, from 23% to 13%.
He stated that it is not the time to install a PSD prime minister, but to solve Romania's problems. Grindeanu, the leader of PSD, declared that the space for compromise is exhausted and that PSD is ready to govern, having a clear program and a stable majority.
Additionally, several PSD representatives, including Claudiu Manda, attacked the PNL leader, Ilie Bolojan, accusing him of lies regarding the current political deadlock. Grindeanu emphasized that the current Parliament cannot generate a stable governing formula without a majority willing to take responsibility.
