The former president of the PSD, Marcel Ciolacu, stated that USR must leave the governing coalition before the extraordinary congress of the party, which will take place at Romexpo.

Ciolacu was asked about the governing coalition and responded that the current president of the PSD, Sorin Grindeanu, will provide clarifications. During the PSD National Political Council, there was a discussion about changing the party's status from 'progressive' and about Grindeanu's new team, which Ciolacu considers excellent, noting its youth.

Over 3500 delegates from across the country will participate in the congress where the official leadership will be elected, with Sorin Grindeanu as the sole candidate for the presidency.
