Ludovic Orban, the president of the Forța Dreptei Party, stated that the president will not be able to entrust the formation of the government to a pro-European coalition that includes PSD, considering that this party is not pro-Western.
Orban emphasized the important role of the president in appointing the prime minister and criticized PSD for the political crisis caused by the submission of a motion of censure. He stated that both PNL and USR have decided not to collaborate with PSD anymore, and a coalition between these parties is unlikely.
Orban suggested that PSD should take responsibility for the government, considering that it dismissed a previous government. He mentioned that PSD has the largest number of parliamentarians and could appoint a prime minister, but expressed doubts about its ability to obtain the necessary majority for the government’s investiture.
Orban concluded that he does not see a coalition between PSD and other parties in Parliament as possible.
