The hearings of the ministers proposed by Siegfried Mureșan continue today, in Parliament, between 10:00 and 20:00, in an attempt to obtain the support necessary to form the government. Each candidate has one hour to answer the parliamentarians’ questions.

Today’s schedule

10:00 - 11:00: Mircea Abrudean, Minister of Internal Affairs

11:00 - 12:00: Dragoș Pîslaru, Minister of European Projects

12:00 - 13:00: Raluca Turcan, Minister of Labor

13:00 - 14:00: Oana Gheorghiu, Minister of Health

14:00 - 15:00: Oana Țoiu, Minister of Foreign Affairs

15:00 - 16:00: Andrea Chiș, Minister of Justice

16:00 - 17:00: Ötvös Koppány Bulcsú, Minister of Culture

17:00 - 18:00: Mihai Dimian, Minister of Education

18:00 - 19:00: Cseke Attila, Minister of Development

19:00 - 20:00: Diana Buzoianu, Minister of the Environment

The hearings follow a series of negative opinions received the previous day. Sebastian Burduja, Radu Miruță, Cătălin Drulă and Irineu Darău were rejected by the committees, while Alexandru Nazare and Tanczos Barna received favorable opinions. The opinions are consultative and do not guarantee the investiture vote.

PNL, USR and UDMR have approximately 170 votes together, below the threshold of 233 needed to invest the government. PSD and AUR have announced that they will not support the Mureșan Cabinet. The vote in the joint plenary session of the two Chambers is scheduled for Wednesday at 13:00.
