The president of PSD, Sorin Grindeanu, stated that Romania will have a government with full powers by August 15, emphasizing the importance of urgently forming it to overcome the current political and economic deadlock. Grindeanu categorically excluded an alliance with AUR, accusing the leaders of this party of complicity in silence in the face of Russian threats, referring to incidents with Russian drones on Romanian territory.
He expressed concerns regarding the critical situation in the economy and health, mentioning the risk of a general strike. Grindeanu emphasized that he contributed to the fall of the Bolojan Government due to dissatisfaction with its leadership and stated that PSD is not afraid of early elections. He also criticized the opposition, calling it "pestilent" and accusing USR of attacks without solutions for Romanians.
