Sorin Grindeanu, first reaction to Florin Manole’s presence on the private flight to Mykonos: “It would have been better if he hadn’t been there”

PSD leader Sorin Grindeanu stated that Social Democratic deputy Florin Manole should have avoided the private flight to Mykonos, paid for by the Chamber of Commerce.

“It would have been better if he had not been there,” said Sorin Grindeanu, referring to Florin Manole’s presence on the plane. The PSD leader specified that the deputy can provide additional explanations if necessary.

Grindeanu urged everyone involved to appear before the investigative committee.

“Florin Manole explained it to me—I believe he explained it to you as well—he will provide further explanations if necessary, but as far as I understood, they did not discuss CCR decisions that were to take place within a day or two,” added the PSD leader, referring to the meeting between the head of the Constitutional Court, Simina Tănăsescu, and Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan, before the CCR session on the integrity law.

According to information reported in the press, CCR judge Cristian Deliorga allegedly traveled to Greece on a private plane alongside businessman Gruia Stoica, who was convicted in the past, and former PSD minister Florin Manole, as well as former Prime Minister Victor Ponta. Mihai Daraban claimed that the trip was paid for by the Chamber of Commerce and was intended to facilitate a meeting with potential American investors.
