Sorin Grindeanu, the leader of PSD, stated that a minority PSD-UDMR government is an option that can be considered, although it is not the desired variant. During the meeting with EU ambassadors, Grindeanu emphasized that PSD prefers a stable government instead of a quick one. When asked about the possibility of being appointed prime minister, he stated that decisions are made in a group and that he does not refuse any proposal.
Grindeanu mentioned that there are no agreements with AUR and that PSD is open to quick solutions to advance the economic agenda, including PNRR. The current political crisis complicates the formation of a majority, and the options discussed include a minority government from the right or the left, each with conditions from the other parties.
