AUR leader George Simion has urged former Prime Minister Victor Ponta to opt for the sovereignist camp in the second round of the May 18 presidential elections. Although he initially said he did not need Ponta's support, Simion stressed the importance of the vote for Romania. Ponta, on the other hand, said he has not decided who he will support, criticizing both AUR and candidate Nicușor Dan, and is waiting for clear answers on the candidates' economic plans before making a decision.
