The leader of USR, Dominic Fritz, stated that his party will not change its position regarding collaboration with PSD, despite the desire of the designated prime minister, Adrian Veștea, to collaborate. Fritz emphasized that USR made this decision before the censure motion submitted by PSD and AUR, considering that the vote against the government was irresponsible.
He highlighted that the refusal to enter a government with PSD is a matter of political consistency and respect for the electorate. Additionally, Fritz mentioned that he had not had discussions with President Nicușor Dan or with Adrian Veștea after his designation.
In contrast, Veștea stated that he also desires collaboration with all pro-European formations and emphasized the importance of political responsibility in the current context. He insisted that there is no longer room for pride and that they must focus on the issues of the citizens.
