USR parliamentary group leader Diana Stoica accuses PSD and AUR of acting in coordination during a meeting of the Permanent Bureau of the Chamber of Deputies to postpone the hearing of Finance Minister Alexandru Nazare. According to her, the minister was supposed to present budget execution data on Monday, November 2.
USR requested that Nazare be summoned to Parliament to provide explanations regarding the actual budget execution situation. Subsequently, AUR submitted a request to summon Prime Minister Luca Niculescu to “Prime Minister’s Hour,” also on November 2. Diana Stoica claims that, because the prime minister’s request takes precedence, the Finance Minister’s hearing was postponed by at least several weeks.
The USR lawmaker says that the sequence of registration numbers proves that AUR’s request was submitted after USR’s. She believes that PSD allegedly used AUR to avoid presenting the budget figures in Parliament and to continue the disputes over the alleged 30-billion-leu shortfall.
USR announces that it will resubmit its request for Alexandru Nazare’s hearing. Under the Rules of Procedure of the Chamber of Deputies, the alternation between the governing parties and the opposition could push the debate back until mid-November. PSD and AUR have not provided, in the information presented, a response to the accusations.
