Claudiu Năsui, former Minister of Economy, has raised an alarm regarding the economic situation in Romania in 2025, highlighting the negative impact of increasing taxes and bureaucracy on entrepreneurship. He criticizes the Bolojan government for raising the minimum share capital, which complicates the establishment of companies, and for the difficulties in recovering loans from shareholders. Năsui emphasizes that, starting next year, each place of work will require a separate tax code, which will lead to a significant increase in bureaucracy.
On the taxation side, Năsui accuses the government of raising taxes, contrary to electoral promises, and that there is no political will to reduce spending. He estimates that, in 2026, tax increases will continue, while spending cuts will be insignificant. Additionally, Năsui mentions the nationalization of 70% of the funds from pillars 2 and 3, which will affect economic freedom. In conclusion, he warns that 2026 will be a difficult year for Romanians, with decreasing purchasing power and challenges for entrepreneurship.
