PNL MEP Rareș Bogdan published a summary on Facebook of Ilie Bolojan's decisions, which he considers responsible for the deterioration of Romania's economy. He states that the reduction of the budget deficit is an "accounting artifice" that sacrifices the economic future, leaving 100,000 companies without resources.
Bogdan criticizes the measures taken, such as freezing pensions and salaries in the public sector, which have reduced consumption and affected SMEs, leading to a decrease in VAT revenues. He also accuses the sudden reduction of the taxation threshold for micro-enterprises and the elimination of tax incentives, which have led to the closure of many businesses.
Bogdan proposes solutions, including a debt compensation system for state debts to companies and tax incentives for SMEs. He emphasizes that the government should have supported domestic capital and avoided increasing local taxes, which raise the operating costs of small enterprises.
