Deputy Cătălin Drulă officially launches his candidacy for the position of mayor of Bucharest on behalf of USR, benefiting from the support of President Nicușor Dan. The event took place at the Municipal Conference of the Bucharest branch, where Drulă emphasized that he also wants to continue Dan's projects. Although he is in third place in opinion polls, Drulă is facing Daniel Băluță (PSD) and Ciprian Ciucu (PNL) in the electoral competition. Drulă, a former Minister of Transport and president of USR, has had a collaborative relationship with Nicușor Dan, mentioning their joint achievements in the field of transport. So far, several candidates have announced their intention to run for the Capital's Mayor, including Anca Alexandrescu and Vlad Gheorghe. Drulă, with a solid career in IT and politics, aims to bring his expertise to the administration of Bucharest.
