Finance Minister Tanczos Barna discussed with President-elect Nicușor Dan the 2025 budget execution and fiscal consolidation measures

In Thursday's meeting, Tanczos Barna presented the state of the budget execution for 2025 and the measures implemented to reduce expenditure. The government's priority is the swift adoption of a package of measures to reduce the budget deficit, which will be submitted to the European Commission. Barna emphasized Romania's obligations under the NRRP, stressing the need for measures to increase tax revenues. Although the government is in a transition period, the Ministry of Finance continues to ensure the necessary payments.
