Nicușor Dan: "None of the parties in the coalition are talking about tax increases for 2026"

Nicușor Dan stated that, in the context of the 2026 budget, the parties in the coalition are not discussing tax increases. He emphasized that a 2% GDP economy is necessary to meet the 6% deficit target next year. The former mayor of the Capital explained that the current fiscal measures have had a positive impact on the budget, and with the same measures, an improvement in the deficit is expected.

However, he mentioned that it is possible to reduce or postpone some investments, which will generate complicated discussions within the coalition. The president reaffirmed that, at present, there are no intentions to increase taxes.
