The rail transport company Softronic has successfully completed tensile testing of ETCS modernized locomotives.

The tensiometry tests performed by Softronic had favorable results, attesting the integration of the ETCS equipment produced by Hitachi with the requirements imposed by the regulations in force. These are required for certification under the Control, Command and Signaling Regulation. The company has won a €100.68 million contract to modernize 19 electric locomotives for CFR Călători, financed by the PNRR.
