CFR Călători has announced that, starting from December 14, it will implement a new Train Schedule, valid until 2026, which includes significant changes in rail traffic. The company promises greater comfort for travelers, with over 1,150 trains operating daily, including direct international routes such as Budapest - Bucharest. Trains IR 72 and IR 73 will run directly to Gara de Nord, and connections with Vienna and Baia Mare will be improved.

Additionally, CFR Călători will introduce modernized carriages and locomotives equipped with Wi-Fi and other facilities, and Interregio trains will be reclassified as Intercity on certain routes. Alstom Coradia Stream electric trains will operate on 26 routes, and PESA trains will be introduced on the Bucharest - Buzău - Adjud routes. The company will maintain attractive fare offers, including discounts for tickets and subscriptions, despite a price increase of nearly 10% for tickets. These modernizations aim to improve travel conditions and passenger safety.
