CFR Călători cancels several trains for one month and introduces transfers by minibuses between stations

CFR Călători has announced major changes to rail services from October 5 to November 5, 2026. Several trains will be partially or fully canceled, while passengers will be transported by minibuses or buses on sections where trains cannot operate.

IR 1825 and IR 1826 trains will no longer run between Craiova and Târgu Jiu, or between Târgu Jiu and Craiova, respectively. IR 1825 will operate only on the Bucharest North–Craiova route from October 5 to November 4, while IR 1826 will run only between Craiova and Bucharest North from October 6 to November 5.

In addition, IR 16026 will be canceled between Deva and Bucharest North, while IR 1821 and IR 1822 will not operate on the Bucharest North–Arad route and back from October 5 to November 6. IR 16025 will be replaced by IR 16425, operating via Cărbunești. Passengers will be transferred from Cărbunești to Târgu Jiu.

Road transfers are planned for IR 1835 and IR 1836 between Copăcioasa and Târgu Jiu, and between Târgu Jiu and Cărbunești, respectively. CFR says that any additional changes will be announced locally.
