CFR Călători presented the status of the rolling stock modernization project, which includes 55 electric locomotives and 139 passenger cars. So far, 24 locomotives have been delivered, and by the end of 2025, this number will reach 36. Additionally, 42 modernized cars are already in operation, and by 2025, the delivery of 60 cars is estimated. The project is funded through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan and public contributions, with a total value of over 2 billion lei. The modernization also includes the construction of maintenance halls and equipping depots with digital simulators. The completion of the entire project is scheduled for December 31, 2026. CFR Călători reaffirms its commitment to providing modern and safe transport services.
