Microsoft strengthens its position in the field of artificial intelligence by launching three fundamental models capable of generating text, voice, and visual content. These models, developed by the MAI Superintelligence team, reflect a shift towards complete control of the AI stack, not just the integration of terrestrial capabilities. The models include MAI-Transcribe-1, a voice transcription model that supports 25 languages, MAI-Voice-1, capable of generating 60 seconds of voice in just one second, and MAI-Image-2, focused on generating visual content. Microsoft aims to offer these models at competitive prices, highlighting the economic advantages for adoption in the business environment. Despite internal development, the company maintains its partnership with OpenAI, adopting a dual strategy: internal development of essential capabilities and external collaboration to accelerate innovation. This move provides companies with more options and cost advantages, quickly integrating into existing Microsoft products.
