Meta has announced the launch of a new artificial intelligence agent aimed at companies, during the Conversations conference in London, thus expanding its activities beyond social networks.
The new product allows companies to use AI agents for actions such as scheduling meetings, processing orders, and completing sales. Naomi Gleit, responsible for product development at Meta, emphasized that this agent is intended exclusively for the corporate market. Additionally, the agents can be customized to respond in the style of each company and can handle frequently asked questions. The service will initially be free, with plans to introduce paid subscriptions later.
Meta also presented the Business Agent Platform, which integrates AI agents with external applications.
However, the expansion of AI agent usage raises security concerns, recently highlighted by an incident involving a support chatbot.
Meta's shares rose by over 3% after the announcement, reflecting investor optimism.
