Meta Muse surpasses ChatGPT in the ranking of free iPhone apps in the U.S.

The new Muse app, the personal artificial intelligence agent developed by Meta Platforms, has reached the top of the ranking of free iPhone apps in the United States, surpassing ChatGPT and accumulating more than 2.5 million downloads since its launch on September 8, according to CNBC.

The app allows users to control digital assistants capable of performing tasks online, such as filling out forms and organizing messages in email inboxes. Muse uses the Muse Spark artificial intelligence models and is one of Meta’s main initiatives in developing AI agents.

The app is available for free, but Meta offers subscriptions costing 20 and 100 dollars per month. The company’s shares rose by more than 11%, driven by investor interest.

Muse’s success has also generated tensions. Amazon blocked its access to the platform, citing risks to security and customer data. Shopify chose collaboration and announced that the agent would be able to automatically complete purchases in its online stores.
