Meta launches Muse, the AI agent that can access email, payments and health data

Meta has launched Muse in the United States, an artificial intelligence agent capable of connecting to applications such as email, calendars, payment services, shopping platforms, health data and smart home devices. The launch comes despite security and reliability issues identified in internal testing, Reuters reports, as cited by News.ro.

Previously known by the codename Hatch, Muse is a key component of CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s strategy to develop “personal superintelligence.” The product is initially available through a dedicated app and WhatsApp, while Meta plans to integrate it into its smart glasses soon.

Users choose which applications to grant access to and can withdraw permission at any time. Each agent runs in its own virtual machine and can perform tasks in the background.

The launch, initially scheduled for April, was delayed to improve security. Recent tests nevertheless indicated monitoring errors, repeated disconnections and one case in which the agent allegedly exposed personal photos from iCloud. Meta did not immediately comment on the incidents。 Note:
