On Tuesday, in San Francisco, Microsoft unveiled new programs based on artificial intelligence, marking an important step in reducing dependence on OpenAI, the creator of ChatGPT.

Although Microsoft was the first major investor in OpenAI, the company has renegotiated its alliance with it and holds a non-exclusive license until 2032.

At the 'Microsoft Build' conference, Microsoft presented MAI-Thinking-1, a reasoning model that analyzes problems step by step, built from scratch without copying elements from competitors. They also showcased models for image generation, audio transcription, and the creation of synthetic voices.

Sophie Lebrecht, part of the AI team, emphasized the importance of self-sufficiency

The company also launched 'Microsoft Scout', an active assistant for managing meetings and drafting emails, currently available to a limited group of clients.
