A woman from Germany, Patricia von Podewils-Seiler, set an impressive record with a receipt measuring 4.34 meters in length, after purchasing four complete sets from Ikea. The incident took place near Berlin, where Patricia and her husband bought 528 items to furnish four apartments.

Although only four orders were scanned at the checkout, the system printed each product separately, and the printer operated for about 20 minutes. Patricia mentioned the difficulty of managing the huge receipt, which does not fit in any wallet. The receipt also earned her an unexpected prize, a Vespa, won in a contest organized by a radio station in Berlin for the longest receipt, which she surpassed the runner-up by almost a meter.
