Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban launched a vehement attack against Brussels after the European Union decided to redistribute migrants. Using the expression "the masses have separated from the liver," Orban emphasized the rift between Hungary and European institutions. He stated that his country will not accept migrants "neither from the South nor from the West" and accused Hungarian officials in EU structures of "attacking Hungarians from behind." Orban announced that Hungary will not comply with the EU agreement on transfers and assistance for countries under migratory pressure, considering that his country is already spending enough to protect the external borders of the Union. Gergely Gulyas, the head of the Prime Minister's cabinet, confirmed that Hungary will not implement the EU migration pact and will not accept migrants, despite the recent political agreement reached by member states.
