A drone attack in Sochi, Russia, has resulted in the death of one woman and the wounding of another, amid Russian-Ukrainian tensions.

Russian authorities have reported a drone attack on the city of Sochi in which one woman was killed and another seriously injured by drone fragmentation. The incident took place in the Adler district and the two victims were on the street at the time of the attack. Russian forces had intercepted 42 Ukrainian drones the previous night, including seven in Krasnodar. Ukraine has warned that it will step up strikes in Russia in response to the increase in Russian attacks on Ukrainian territory.
