The Russian authorities announced on Sunday morning that a oil pipeline near the port of Primorsk, located close to the border with Finland, was damaged by a Ukrainian drone attack, according to AFP.
Governor Alexander Drozdenko stated on Telegram that the debris from the downed drones damaged a section of the pipeline, but did not provide details about the extent or nature of the damage.
According to official information, the Russian air defense destroyed 19 drones and no casualties were reported.
The Primorsk port, important for oil transport, is located between the border with Finland and the city of Saint Petersburg.
In March, a similar drone attack caused a fire in a fuel tank, with Kiev claiming it targeted an oil terminal.
