The governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, announced on Friday morning that Ukraine's nighttime bombings caused "severe damage" in the Russian city located near the border with Ukraine. In a video posted on Telegram, Gladkov mentioned that city officials convened an emergency meeting to discuss a plan of action. He emphasized that the city has no military targets and confirmed the damage caused by the attacks. According to sources from the security services, missiles struck the city, and power supply was interrupted in certain areas. Belgorod has been regularly targeted by Ukrainian attacks since Russia's invasion in February 2022.
