Kiev, attacked again by Russia with ballistic missiles. Explosions and fires have been reported in two districts of the capital of Ukraine.

Kiev was the target of a new ballistic missile attack launched by Russia last night, causing powerful explosions and fires in the Holosiivski district. Ukrainian air forces warned about missiles heading towards the capital, and sirens sounded throughout the area. Mayor Vitali Klitschko announced that air defense systems are in action.

The attack took place in the context of allies of Ukraine discussing strengthening air defense, and President Volodymyr Zelensky welcomed the formation of a European coalition for the development of ballistic capabilities.

Since the beginning of June, Kiev has been subjected to increasingly frequent bombings, and ballistic missile attacks have intensified, being extremely difficult to intercept. The most severe recent attack resulted in 30 deaths in July.
