A fire broke out at the V. G. Shukhov State Technological University in the Russian city of Belgorod, following a drone attack. The university, known for its research in the field of unmanned aerial vehicles, was specifically targeted due to its projects for the development of automated control systems, which were presented as having civilian purposes, such as monitoring infrastructure.
According to the independent Russian publication Astra, the fire affected a building dedicated to these research activities. Additionally, the university recently launched an educational program for students focused on drone technologies. So far, Russian authorities have not provided details about any potential victims or the consequences of the incident.
