Two industrial installations in the Orenburg region of Russia were affected by debris from Ukrainian drones, including a warehouse of the retailer Ozon, according to statements from Governor Yevgeny Solntsev.
Authorities intercepted six drones, and their fragments caused a fire at Ozon, which was extinguished without casualties. Ozon evacuated over 300 employees and suspended operations at its logistics center, redistributing logistics routes to other facilities.
This incident comes after a series of drone attacks on the rival Wildberries, part of a broader campaign against Russian economic infrastructure. The Russian Ministry of Defense reported the downing of 328 Ukrainian drones the previous night. President Putin warned of retaliation against attacks on Russian economic targets.
