A Ukrainian attack took place in the city of Belgorod, causing significant damage and injuring thirteen people, according to interim governor Alexander Shuvaev.
Images published on social media capture flames and damaged buildings, and an analysis of open sources suggests that three of the affected buildings were located near a regional headquarters of the Russian secret service FSB. Additionally, another struck property is located about 600 meters from the Belgorod thermal power plant.
The Ukrainian attack occurred a day after a Russian bombing of the city of Kiev, which resulted in the deaths of four people, including a three-year-old child, and injured eight others.
