A Russian attack near Kyiv has resulted in the death of 27 people.

Tymur Tkachenko, the head of the regional military administration near Kiev, reported that a Russian drone attack damaged at least 50 residential buildings, causing a fire that spread to homes and a restaurant.

The incident occurred in the Bucha district, near Kiev, at a depot that contained explosives. Following the attack, 27 people have died, and this number may not be final.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed that a depot in the village of Myla, Bucha district was hit, followed by an explosion, but did not provide further details about the target of the attack.

Zelensky announced the opening of criminal proceedings for negligence in service, emphasizing that ammunition should not be stored near residential areas. Following the attack, a center for elderly and disabled persons was also damaged, and over 370 people were evacuated, with the operation continuing. The attack occurred after three days of nearly constant air raid alerts in the Kiev region, severely affecting civilian life and economic activity in the capital.
