The Ukrainian army announced that, during the night, it struck three facilities on Russian territory involved in the production and handling of missiles. The targets included a factory in the Tver region that produces missile components and an intercontinental ballistic missile dismantling center in the Nizhny Novgorod region.
Ukraine’s General Staff said in a message posted on Telegram that the attacks were intended to reduce Russia’s ability to obtain explosives and fuel for missiles. Kyiv maintains that the three facilities were targeted as part of efforts to damage military infrastructure and Russia’s production capacity.
The governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region said that a serviceman was killed during the attack. According to him, drone debris caused only “minimal” damage to the infrastructure.
In the Tver region, the governor announced Friday morning that a drone attack caused a fire at a factory in the town of Redkino. The fire was extinguished, with authorities initially providing no further details regarding any possible casualties or damage.
Information about the targets hit and the effects of the attacks comes from statements by Ukrainian and Russian authorities, as reported by Reuters. It could not be independently verified.
