Donald Tusk: The conflict between politicians in Poland and Ukraine is a "strategic mistake"

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk stated on Sunday, on platform X, that the dispute between politicians in Poland and Ukraine represents a strategic mistake, having the potential to affect both parties economically, geopolitically, and in terms of reputation.

His statement comes in the wake of the controversies generated by the withdrawal of the distinction of the Order of the White Eagle by Polish President Karol Nawrocki, following the actions of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who renamed a military unit after the Ukrainian Insurgent Army, responsible for the massacres during World War II.

Tusk, who was re-elected as Prime Minister in 2023, emphasized the importance of maintaining good relations with Ukraine and worked to reduce tensions in discussions with European partners, acknowledging the difficulties of this task.
