The Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has raised an alarm regarding a possible escalation of the war in Ukraine by Russia, posting on platform X after a discussion with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.
Tusk emphasized that "the escalation from Russia is advancing" and mentioned that the next six months will be crucial. He warned that provocations from Russia against a NATO member state should not be ruled out. Speculations were heightened by the visit of CIA Director John Ratcliffe to Moscow, where he warned Russia not to attack NATO member states. The Kremlin denied these accusations and accused the West of provocations. Poland, a major supporter of Ukraine, feels threatened by Russia and is significantly increasing its military spending.
